Google has published a list of the most popular games and apps of 2014

So, in 2014, the following games were the most popular:

2. Don’t Tap The White Tile
3. Farm Heroes Saga
4. Subway Surfers
5. Clash of Clans. 

Facebook predictably leads among the applications in the “Social” category, and Netflix leads in the “Entertainment” section. The palm of the championship in the “Sport” category went to NFL Mobile. Android users prefer to process images using Flipogram, and monitor their health with MyFitnessPal. 

TripAdvisor became the most popular app in the Travel category, and Pandora became the most popular app in the Music section.
