Cookie Jam became the game of the year according to Facebook. The social network has also published its selection of the best mobile and social projects of 2014.
Recognition of the next “sweet” match-3 game of the year is most likely a compromise solution. For the role of a hit, the creation of a far Los Angeles studio – SGN – clearly does not pull. And the game, to put it mildly, is not radically different from King projects (Cookie Jam is a kind of mix of Candy Crush and Farm Heroes). But, apparently, the social network did not dare to give the label of the game of the year to the British or hardcore projects.
Facebook’s Daniel Morris, who is responsible for establishing contacts with game developers, claims that all games from the list, including Cookie Jam, were selected based on their user rating, the depth of integration with Facebook, volume and quality. As for the game of the year specifically, it was chosen as a new project that surpasses all others in terms of indicators
The selection of the best new Facebook games of the outgoing year included the remaining nine games that showed the best results this year. There was a place for the already caressed Bubble Witch 2 Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga, tower Defense Hero Defense, the scandalous Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the Klondike builder, the role-playing League of Angels, slots, traviana Sparta: War of Empires and the time manager of SuperCity from St. Petersburg Playkot.
The list of the best mobile games of 2014 turned out to be much shorter. This includes: Boom Beach, Crazy Taxi: City Rush, Disco Bees, Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff and Star Wars: Commander. Facebook chose them based on the performance indicators of the integrated Facebook Login.
The editors’ choice (Facebook’s 2014 Staff Favorite Games) of the social network has five titles: Cower Defense, Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores, OMG! Fortune FREE Slots, Solitaire 3 Arena and Throne Rush. These are the games that the developers of the social network themselves played the most.
The list of games from the Facebook Hall of Fame this year includes those games that were released before January 2014, but showed excellent results throughout the year. We are talking about: Bingo Blitz, Caesars Casino, Top Eleven Be a Football Manager, Words With Friends and Zynga Poker.
What do you think about the list?
