The Chartboost advertising network reported in its December report that the iPhone accounts for 61% of iOS gaming sessions.
The Apple smartphone is played five times more often than the iPod Touch, which accounts for only 11% of gaming sessions. Strangely, the iPad also accounts for a relatively insignificant 28%.
On the other hand, users of the Apple tablet are more likely (2X) to download the game application after viewing the advertisement. For iPod Touch users, this indicator is also higher.
It turns out that although users play more on the iPhone, but on tablets their cost is much cheaper. The price for installation on the iPad and iPod Touch is $1.68, and on the iPhone – $1.80.
Chartboost collected data in November from 8 thousand games.
