In August, 33.8% of visits to Pavel Durov’s social network site occurred from mobile devices, writes Roem.ru with a link to LiveInternet.

18% were on Android devices, 6.6% – on iOS iPhone, 3.3% – on iOS iPad. Also, 5% of visits were carried out from smartphones based on SymbianOS. 

This suggests that VKontakte is now becoming a very promising platform for promoting mobile games. However, as our colleagues note in the original material, VKontakte is in no hurry with mobile monetization. 

The network has other problems. 

Firstly, the high price of promotion.

Secondly, as noted in the comments on Roem, poor traffic generation. According to Mail.En, in August, the number of transitions from mobile devices to the portal was only 8% (27.52% – iOS, 32.9% – Android, 21.10% – simple phones).

In other words, it doesn’t make sense to pay a lot of money for advertising mobile applications on VKontakte pages yet.
