Today, the Russian search engine announced the launch of its own free analytical service created for mobile application developers.

A little sensation. Yandex has seriously expanded the functionality of Yandex.Metrica. Now, using this tool, you can track not only statistics on websites, but also data on mobile applications.

The SDK of the service allows you to get:

  • device information;
  • information about sessions;
  • information about the source of the user’s transition to the application download page;
  • actions performed by the user in the application;
  • user location;
  • errors that occur while using the application;
  • own events;
  • other data (for example, the number of users who have installed the application).

As also stated on the official website: “the service allows you to answer any questions about your audience and highlight any of its segments. The tools help to understand how people use the app.”

As you can see from the screenshot below, you can segment the audience according to a very wide list of parameters. What is important: the interface looks very clear at this stage.

All received data can be viewed in the Yandex.Metrica web interface.

At the moment, the service supports Android, iOS, Windows Phone Store and Windows Store.

On the official website, you can already find all the documentation on the integration of the service on the mentioned platforms.

Has anyone already used it? What do you think?
