In an interview with PocketGamer, Wooga’s CEO Jens Begemann admitted that 50% of the company’s revenue still comes from Facebook.
Despite this, the company today calls itself mobile-oriented.
Jens BegemannMAU for all Wooga projects – 50 million players.
This, according to Jens, makes it easy to bring new games to the top.
When asked what allows the company to retain users for a long time (for example, for Monster World released in 2010 – 65 million installations and a DAU of 1.7 million), Jens replied that it’s all about updates.
“We have always said that launching a game is 20% of all development. Further improvement of the project is the key to retension.”
The main thing in monetization, Jens called the following: the game should be fun even if the player did not pay a cent for it.
