Gearbox president Randy Pitchford admitted on Twitter that at the moment his company is thinking about the possibility of porting Homeworld to the iPad.
At the moment, everything depends on how it is possible to implement the management of such a complex strategy on a device with a touch screen.
The original Homeworld was released in 1999 on PC. The game was the first in the full sense of the word three-dimensional strategy. The spacecraft were controlled not in one single plane, but in space, to any point of which they could be sent.
The game was made by Relic studio, which recently released the scandalous Company of Heroes 2. But the rights to the project after the recent bankruptcy of THQ went to the authors of Borderlands from Gearbox.
