Subscriptions have become an essential element of the monetization of the mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s main competitor Battlegrounds. In Fortnite, they are called Battle passes (Battle Pass) and put weekly challenges in front of players, for which you can receive additional rewards.

The Royal Pass has a free version and an “elite” paid one, costing $9.99. The pass also gives players access to quests and unique seasonal rewards.
Thanks to this simple solution, PUBG Mobile’s weekly revenue amounted to $6.1 million. For comparison: in the previous three weeks, she earned only $1.3 million.
According to Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile’s daily revenue now amounts to approximately $700 thousand, and the mobile version has earned $16 million in total since its launch.
