The independent analytical resource Steam Spy has introduced a new feature — the service has a database of developers and publishers of video games on Steam.
The expanded capabilities of Steam Spy were announced on Twitter by its creator Sergey Galenkin.
According to Steam Spy, there are 14,954 companies on Steam today, each of which has published two games on average. The service does not yet know how to distinguish publishers from developers and presents general statistics.
Steam Spy won’t close
Recall that 2 weeks ago, Sergey Galenkin reported problems with Steam Spy due to the fact that the Steam administration closed access to the data of users’ game libraries — the main source of information for the service.
Galenkin noted that Steam Spy will continue to work, but the accuracy of its data may decrease somewhat.
Steam Spy provides data on the number of game owners on Steam. This allows you to roughly estimate the sales of a particular title.
