One of the most interesting rumors at the Develop developer conference in Brighton concerned Unity. They say her management was offered to sell the company for $750 million.

A week earlier, Unity announced that more than 2 million developers had already been registered on its website. With this, she emphasized her status as actually the main game development tool in the mobile industry. And it is not surprising that there are those who want to buy it.

However, only a limited number of companies can afford such transactions. Accordingly, we can only talk about such giants as Autodesk, Google and Apple.

Although it seems to us that it is not the presence of demand that is more interesting, but the fact of Unity’s refusal, because despite the success achieved, Unity is still a very modest American (but, in fact, international) company. According to Pocket Gamer, Unity’s venture capital has reached a relatively low mark of $17.5 million.

Anyway, there is an opinion that the company could have only one reason for refusal: the desire to independently enter the IPO.

Unity CEO David Helgason made just a typical evasive remark: “We cannot comment on these rumors, but I can say that we would reject such an offer.”Source: www.pocketgamer.biz
