Unity Technologies has its second major purchase in recent times. Its assets include ChilliConnect, a creator of tools for managing online projects.

This was reported by the publication Gamesindustry.biz . As with other acquisitions of the company this year, the transaction amount is unknown.

ChilliConnect creates cloud solutions for live ops management. With this platform, developers can launch online games and scale resources to manage them without having their own powerful servers. After the acquisition of ChilliConnect, Unity Technologies will offer the same opportunities to the authors of games on its engine.

A variety of teams face the problem of managing and supporting their games (after launch). This work can be both difficult and expensive. ChilliConnect will provide Unity developers with the necessary live ops and backend services to successfully work with the released game.

Note that Unity Technologies is very active in the mergers and acquisitions market this year. At the end of September, she bought the mobile analytics service DeltaDNA. And earlier this year, Vivox voice chat, Graphine, a developer of graphic tools, and Digital Monarch Media, a technical company, appeared in her portfolio.
