The authors of the series Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry are going to open a second studio in Ukraine. The new unit will be located in Odessa.
This became known from the company’s post in the Ubisoft Kiev public on Facebook. The post talks about the start of recruitment to the staff of C++ developers.
“We are assembling a new team in Odessa, which, together with teams from various international Ubisoft studios, will be able to contribute to the development of the company’s most popular AAA titles for PC and the future generation of devices,” the company also reports.
The launch of the office is scheduled for this year. It is still unknown how big it will be and who will head it.
The Kiev studio of the French Ubisoft previously specialized in porting the company’s blockbusters to the PC platform, today it is responsible for the development of some projects entirely.
