Chart for Q1 2020
Despite the growing number of publishers in the hyper—casual games market, there is one unambiguous leader – Voodoo, based in France. During the first quarter of this year, her games were downloaded 422 million times. This is almost twice as much as the nearest competitor — Lion Studios.

However, it is important to take into account the very high volatility of the segment. Back in the last quarter (October — December 2019), the same Voodoo had fewer downloads than Lion Studios, and the Belarusian SayGames was the market leader.
All figures given here are based on the AppMagic estimate
Voodoo was able to rise so high in the last quarter thanks to the extremely successful launch of three projects — Woodturning, Draw Climber and Spiral Roll.
In March, they were responsible for almost half of the company’s downloads in total.
From general observations:
More than a quarter of the companies present today in the top a year ago either were not present on the market, or their quarterly downloads were no more than a million downloads.
In this market, companies really manage to instantly become one of the leaders. If a quarter ago you did not hear anything about a particular company, this does not mean that after a couple of months it will not be in the top.
It is also interesting that some companies have recently retrained into hyper-casual publishers, and previously were engaged in the development, financing and publishing of midcore and hardcore mobile projects.
