THQ Nordic is preparing for new purchases. This time, the company raised $168 million, which it will use to acquire new franchises and game studios.
THQ Nordic received this amount due to the issue of 7.7 million B-shares (approx. — these are shares for the sale of which a commission is charged).
Recall that this year the corporation acquired the German publisher Koch Media together with the game publisher Deep Silver. And at the end of 2017, the Swedish studio Experiment 101 was bought.
The THQ brand has been around since 1989. But in 2012, THQ went bankrupt, after which the brand and the rights to the games were bought by the Austrian Nordic Games. In 2016, as a result of the rebranding, THQ Nordic appeared.
