Russian IT giant Mail.Ru The Group has announced the launch of a new brand. It’s called MY.GAMES. Now it is on his behalf that all the company’s game projects will be released.

The reason why Mail.Ru The Group decided to consolidate its gaming brands, called its success in the gaming sector. In recent years, the gaming business has become one of the key sources of revenue for the entire company.

Recall that in the first three months of 2019 alone, the group earned $304.2 million. A third of this amount — $102.4 million — came from the games. And 67% Mail.Ru The Group earns money on the international market today.

“It’s time to introduce a global brand for our gaming business, which will unite all the key areas of our work,” said Vasily Maguryan, CEO of MY.GAMES. Previously, he held the position of head of the gaming direction Mail.ru Group.

According to the press release, 11 internal studios with about 1,500 employees worldwide will work under the banner of MY.GAMES. The MRGV investment division will also be part of the new formation, which, as part of the announcement, presented a full portfolio of its partner studios.

It was also announced that the new gaming company is going to launch its own global gaming platform in the near future. However, there are no specific details about what it will represent yet.

For reference, Mail.Ru The Group currently operates 60 game projects. At the same time, its portfolio includes 150 games, whose total audience is 540 million people.
