The Russian government was offered to create a ministry for the development of new technologies and virtual reality. This initiative was made by Boris Chernyshov, Deputy head of the Education Committee of the State Duma.
“The purpose of the department will be to support, develop and study the virtual and augmented reality industry in our country using new technologies to generate additional income,” Chernyshov explained.
Chernyshev pointed to the prospects of the high-tech market, which can bring education, medicine, science and industry to a higher level.
The official is confident that the new government agency will accelerate Russia’s transition to digital technologies, which in turn will help the development of the state’s economy and the growth of the welfare of its citizens.
