The arrival of big brands on the mobile market and their marketing experiments have raised the cost of users to a record value.

According to Fiksu, the average cost of a loyal iPhone user in the United States (the one who logged into the app at least three times) last August was a record for all the years of the App Store’s existence at $ 1.90.

Two factors contributed to this.

Firstly, large financial injections into the mobile market from big brands that want and can invest money in advertising that brings them useful users.

Secondly, the desire of marketers to test new schemes before the Christmas season (it’s scary to think how much the price of a loyal user will be in December, perhaps only the richest will conduct a good advertising campaign).

As for the average number of daily downloads, it grew to 5.9 million in August.

This is 100 thousand more than in July and much less than in January of this year.
