The owner of 70% of the shares of the Finnish studio Rovio Kai Hed (Kaj Hed) lost the chair of the chairman of the board of directors Mika Iamuotila (Mika Ihamuotila).
“I have been chairman of Rovio since 2008. The company is going through a new stage of growth after a difficult period, and I felt that now is the time to transfer responsibility to a new chairman. Mika Iamuotila has been a member of the board for four years and knows the company well. I have full confidence in his ability to successfully manage Rovio,” Head said.
“Rovio is an excellent company, whose revenues have shown steady growth over the past year. I believe that I had the privilege of participating in the creation of the company’s success story,” Mika Iamuotila commented on his appointment.
Iamuotila has been a member of the Board of Rovio since 2013.
The election of the new chairman and members of the Board of Directors took place at the annual general meeting of the company. The board includes Kim Ignatius and Jenny Wolfram.
All members of the Rovio Board of Directors previously held senior positions in telecommunications and advertising companies in Sweden and Finland.
