Game producer Mark Skaggs announced his intention to leave the board of directors of the Indian game studio Moonfrog Labs and return to the United States. Skaggs is known as the lead for the development of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Generals strategies.

In addition to working on the Command & Conquer series, Mark Skaggs is one of the co-authors of the Farmville social simulator, which was released by Zynga. In 2010, Farmville became one of the most popular games on Facebook. Its DAU numbered over 32 million people.

Mark Skaggs explained his departure from Moonfrog for personal reasons. He wants to return to Texas to spend more time with his family.

“I promised my family to be there, and then I broke my promise. It haunts me, so I made the decision to leave Moonfrog and look for adventures closer to home,” Skaggs said.

Mark joined Moonfrog in 2016. As director of Moonfrog Labs, Skaggs was responsible for launching two major studio titles: Bahubali Strategy: The Game and the social game Alia Bhatt: Star Life, dedicated to Indian actress Alia Bhatt.
