These conclusions were made by Qiwi after market research. She also interviewed 5,700 viewers of Russian-language streams. 10% of them live in the CIS, writes RBC. The company also used the internal data of the QIWI Donate service and the QIWI Teamplay esports league.
The company claims that the number of streamers in the region has grown by 22% over the year.
How much do they spend on streams
- The total volume of donations to streamers has increased by 42% this year.
- The average donation amount for the year was 356 rubles.
- About a quarter of viewers donate 300-999 rubles. Another half gives 100-299 rubles each.
- A third of viewers send a donation every 2-7 streams. 63% are ready to do this only in special cases, writes RBC.
Who watches streams
- About 66% of viewers are adults and solvent.
- 47% of viewers watch their favorite streamers every day and spend more than 2 hours a day on it. For them, streams are an alternative to TV series and an opportunity to relax. A quarter of respondents devote time to this after work.

- 58% of viewers choose a stationary computer to watch streams;
- 53% — Android smartphone;
- 32% — laptop;
