More than 16% of Russians like to watch game streams. Twitch turned out to be the most popular platform for viewing them.
Companies DonationAlerts and Research.me we found out during the survey that a third of Russians (33%) are viewers of live broadcasts on the network. And the most popular streaming content among them is games.
- 50% of viewers like to watch game streamers;
- 40% also choose live broadcasts of celebrities (bloggers, show business stars, etc.);
- 35% are not averse to watching news and TV programs live.
At the same time, each type of content has its own platform. So, 80% of fans of gaming streams choose the Twitch platform.
Also note that 7% of Russians surveyed like to watch and stream, and another 5% are streamers, but not viewers. How many of them are game streamers is not specified.
The survey was conducted among 7,745 Russians aged 14 to 45 from cities with a population of over 100,000. According to Vedomosti, the study was requested by a Russian company Mail.Ru Group.
