The Dots game was released about a month ago and, as we have already reported, almost instantly became popular. Its creators from Betaworks decided not to stop there and prepared a version optimized for iPad and including multiplayer.
Recall that the gameplay of Dots is very simple, but at the same time, extremely addictive. The goal is to score the maximum number of points in a minute by connecting dots of the same color.
In multiplayer, players are offered the same initial set of points. Whoever got the most points won. As the developers themselves admit, the idea to introduce a multiplayer mode came to them in the subway. They saw the players passing their phones to each other and comparing the results.
By the way, according to Betaworks, the number of downloads of the game from the Apple App Store exceeded 3 million, and the number of gaming sessions exceeded 250 million, which corresponds to about 500 years of gameplay.
