The Australian studio Halfbrick, which created Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, will soon release its new creation – Fish Out of Water.

It is said that the idea of Fruit Ninja came to the creative director of Halfbrick, Luke Muscat, when he watched an advertisement for knives that “cut everything”. In the case of Fish Out of Water, everything is somewhat more prosaic. The guy just loves surfing, as well as throwing pebbles into the water.  

So, in the game, the user has six fish at his disposal, having different physical characteristics. The task is trivial: run the selected fish as far as possible. Like a flat pebble, it will bounce off the water, collect bonuses and bounce off the waves again until the “victorious end”. In fact, this is a kind of development of the ideas embedded in Angry Birds.

As in any modern decent mobile game in Fish Out of Water, the results of throws can be measured with friends. But here the Australians have introduced an interesting feature: the record tables are reset daily.    

According to the company’s marketer Phil Larsen, within one to two months Fish Out of Water will appear on iOS at a price of $0.99.
