Firaxis Games, the studio responsible for the latest part of XCOM and the Civilization strategy series, today, March 21, announced a project for the iOS platform – Haunted Hollow.

Our colleagues from the American Polygon portal have already played a demo version of the game. According to them, this is a strategic free-2-play project in which the user will take on the role of a “dark lord” giving orders to cartoon ghosts, vampires and werewolves.

The gameplay looks something like this:

There is a city and two “haunted mansions”. One is controlled by the player, the other by his opponent. Everyone’s task is to capture the city.

The game is turn-based. On each turn, the user can build rooms in his mansion. New rooms give access to new monsters.

In the next turn, the player can send monsters to the city. At the third step, the player’s wards scare the tenants, thereby taking control of a particular house.

They can also attack enemy zombies and vampires, reclaiming someone else’s territory. The confrontation between the forces of darkness is complicated by the townspeople attacking the captured buildings and the player’s monsters.

Haunted Hollow will appear this spring. Monetization in the game will be based on the purchase of new monsters.
