The Turkish company Peak Games accuses the American toy giant Hasbro of cloning the casual hit Toy Blast.
The reason for the lawsuit was a new game — My Little Pony: Puzzle Party from Hasbro and its mobile division Backflip Games.
Fenwick & West, a law firm representing Peak Games in the USA, noted in its statement of claim that “Hasbro and Backflip Games took the popular Peak Games game, cloned it and issued it as a project under the My Little Pony brand. When the game was released a week ago, it became instantly clear to us that it was just a Toy Blast ruskin.”
It’s not just about borrowing mechanics, but even the same levels, their balance and an identical tutorial.
Toy Blast is currently the main project of the Turkish Peak Games, founded in 2010. The total downloads of all studio games now number more than 275 iln, and the MAU reaches 29 million.
Released in 2015, Toy Blast was included in the Top 100 cash applications for iPhone in 94 regions and reached the 14th place in the top cash applications in the United States.
