67% of Americans play video games. The research company EEDAR came to these conclusions after conducting a survey on the gaming preferences of US residents.
Of the players, 59% use two or more types of devices for the game. Usually we are talking about a bundle of a smartphone and a PC or a smartphone and a console.
Gamers who play exclusively on one platform are slightly less — 41% of the total number of players. The absolute majority of them call a mobile device as their only gaming platform.
There is nothing surprising here, as well as the fact that 90% of all Americans who play somehow use smartphones and tablets to launch video games. Thanks to this, mobile is the most popular gaming platform in the USA.
In second place in popularity is a personal computer. 52% of gamers play with it. The third most popular platform is consoles. They are followed by 43%. Portable consoles are used by only 9% of gamers.
From the curious in the report, it can also be highlighted that the average American spends 12 hours a week on games. This is about the same amount as he spends on music and working with social networks.
The results of the study were obtained on the basis of a survey of five thousand respondents aged 2 years and older (children were interviewed together with their parents).
