Analysts of the service say that the ARPU of iPhone games, even within the box office Top 30, varies greatly from country to country. In Japan, for example, this value is more than twice as high as in China, and in China it is almost a third more than in the USA.
It is curious that South Korea, judging by the dynamics, may also soon outpace the United States in terms of average ARPU.
If we talk about genres, then the region also greatly depends on which of them is the leader in ARPU.
In Japan, role-playing games are in first place according to the average monthly ARPU on the iPhone: 22 projects from the box office Top 30 belong to the RPG genre.
Four of the five ARPU leaders in China belong to the MMORPG genre. And all of them are based on popular PC franchises.
As for the regions closer to us, strategies dominate there. For example, the leader in ARPU in the USA and the UK is the Game of War – Fire Age.
