The developers of the Forza Horizon 3 Playground Games car simulator are considering the possibility of creating games for mobile devices.

The company clarified that they will not abandon the development of games for consoles for mobile platforms, at least in the near future.

Playground Games CEO Gavin Raeburn said that although games for portable devices fantastically expand the audience, the studio did not dare to take up their creation because mobile titles are difficult to monetize.

“We would like to make games for mobile platforms, but we are not sure that they will be able to sell easily later. You can make quick money on the mobile market, but I’m not ready to risk my career and my team for this,” Raeburn said.

The head of Playground Games added that he also sees clear advantages in the development of mobile games. In his opinion, employees with similar experience will be valuable personnel when the company takes up the creation of AAA projects again.
