We are discussing which project earned the most money on Steam in the 25th week of the year.

#1

The Steam Deck shows the biggest sales on Steam. This is the fourth week in a row.

#2, #3, #8

The second position in the chart is for the remake of Final Fantasy VII, and the third and eighth are for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands from Gearbox Software.

Before we run to study the top further, let’s focus on a couple of fundamental points concerning the top three:

  • Steam Deck has not dropped below the second position since the start of sales in February this year;
  • The remake of Final Fantasy VII holds the second place for the second week in a row;
  • the release of the Final Fantasy VII remake on Steam took place on June 17, previously on PC it was an EGS exclusive for six months;
  • Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was released on Steam on June 23;
  • The game was also an EGS exclusive on the desktop until last week;
  • Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands occupies two positions in the chart due to the fact that Steam perceives builds with various payment options as two games.

Now we’re moving on.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands#4

Raft survival debuted on the chart last week. On June 20, he got out of early access. Due to the full release, the project received a 15% discount. This, as well as advertising on Twitch, allowed him to be located in the top sales in the fourth position.

Raft#5 and #7

Monster Hunter Rise was in fifth place in cumulative earnings. Recall that at the end of 24 weeks, the project took 4th place. The game is so high in the chart thanks to a 50% discount.

The discount is associated with the upcoming release of a large-scale Sunbreak add-on (its release is scheduled for June 29). It is sold separately and also shows excellent results — 7th place according to the results of the last week.

Monster Hunter Rise#6

A 20% discount allowed God of War to return to the top 10. Also, the game’s views on Twitch have grown seriously this week — to the level of 45 thousand one-time viewers.

#9

The island survival Rust, created by Facepunch Studios, received a serious 50% discount and an advertising campaign on Twitch. This had a positive impact on sales, the project returned to the chart. However, the online game continues to fall. The latter is due to the update from June 2, which seriously changed the shooting in the game.

Sekiro is another game that has returned to the top amid a large discount. Now the price of the FromSoftware game has been halved.
