The confrontation between Epic and Apple is increasingly hurting users. Starting from September 11, players will not be able to log into Epic Games accounts using Apple. That’s what Apple decided.
Epic announced this on Twitter last night. The company warned that anyone who used the “Sign in with Apple” option will have to change their email address and password as soon as possible. Epic also prepared a guide for players, where it told how to do this and keep access to the account.
Actions before September 11:
- The player needs to log in to the Epic Games account using an Apple ID, open the General Settings page and enter a new email address;
- Then you will have to update the password to the account or create it if the player has not used the password before. To do this, he needs to go to the “Change password” page and follow the instructions.
Actions after September 11:
- According to Epic, the company will help restore access to the account, even when the “Log in with Apple” option is disabled. But in this case, users will need to contact its support service.
Just a few days ago, Apple filed a counterclaim against Epic Games, in which it accused the developers of a reckless attempt to impersonate Robin Hood and demanded damages. The conflict between the companies itself began back in August.
