About the most trending Steam games this week in our weekly report. This time the top is again (!) headed by Kingdom: New Lands. As for the editorial board, we recommend paying attention to Reigns and Overcooked.
With the approval and on the SteamSpy database (Sergey Galenkin’s statistical service that collects a wide range of data from Steam) the site App2Top.ru continues to regularly analyze and publish the Top 10 trending games of the Valve digital distribution platform. The top trending games on SteamSpy are formed not only based on sales, but also based on mentions of projects in the media and streaming services. Steam Spy shows data based on the last three days.
The situation on Friday, August 19, looked like this:
The most trending game, just like a week ago, last Friday turned out to be Kingdom, a pixel strategy resembling a platformer, which received a large-scale New Lands update last week, along with which it is now being distributed.

The main release of this summer and immediately the main indie disappointment, consider the year No Man’s Sky, which last week showed one of the best sales starts for a one-time number of playing users in the entire history of Steam, was in the top trending Steam games only in second place.
Perhaps low grades are to blame for everything. The game, by the way, failed to break the mark of 1 million copies sold on the Valve platform in a week, although it showed a very good pace in the first days (the number of pre-orders was about 300 thousand, the game scored the remaining 400 thousand over the weekend and the first half of the week).

The main newcomer to the top was the “decision-making simulator” Reigns.
The low price, good black humor and translation into the most popular languages on Steam allowed the project, also released on mobile platforms, to sell about 40 thousand digital copies on the PC platform in the first week.
Reigns
ABZU, which diverged very well in the first weeks after the release, although they did not lose interest on the Internet, judging by its still high position in the trending top, but its sales rates have significantly decreased.
During the week, one of the most beautiful games of this summer gained about 7 thousand installations. Perhaps the problem is that not everyone is willing to give $19.99 for a game with a duration of 2-3 hours.

For more than three years, the domestic Frozen State, which was in development about survival in the world of nuclear winter on the territory of the retro-futuristic Soviet Union, despite the high entry threshold and budget schedule, was warmly received by the players.
80% of reviews are positive, sales have almost reached the mark of 20 thousand copies sold in two weeks.

Shop Heroes, a Facebook project that was released a year ago on mobile, did not meet, as often happens on Steam, a wide negative reaction. On the contrary, the game with almost 40 thousand downloads has about 70% of the reviews – positive. Negative reviews are usually associated with “donation”.
Shop HeroesRay Gigant, released a year ago on the PS Vita, looks frankly strange on the PC platform, especially for $ 29.99.

Tenth place for the sequel to Grow Home, one of Ubisoft’s “indie” games.
The franchise, which started as a playful development for colleagues and friends, has grown to a full-fledged continuation of Grow Up, which does not differ radically from the second part. The game’s sales are not very good yet (less than 10 thousand), but it was released on Steam only last Tuesday.

Of the things that didn’t make it into the Top 10, but what we want to pay attention to is Overcooked.
The project is designed, first of all, for a game from two or more people at one device (ideally, for four). Conceptually, this is a good old Diner Dash with gamepad control, three-dimensional graphics and a crazy story about saving the world from a macaroni monster. The game was released on August 3 and can’t boast of big sales yet, but it has a very high user rating on Steam – 89%.
