Swedish publisher Paradox Interactive has acquired the Dutch studio Triumph Studios, developer of the Age of Wonders and Overlord series, for €4 million.

The publisher is ready to pay another €21 million to the team based on the results of its future activities over several years.

This was announced today, June 30, by Paradox Interactive.

Under the terms of the deal, both the current team and its management will remain in place. All projects under development will be published by Paradox Interactive.

Triumph Studios and I are of the same blood. This team is a world leader in its niche, it has created a large and dedicated community over the years, a community whose loyal fans include Paradox employees.

Triumph Studios was founded in 1997. She became famous for a series of turn-based fantasy strategies Age of Wonders, whose total sales reached the mark of 1 million copies sold.
