Nintendo has announced the release of Labo designer kits compatible with the Nintendo Switch console. Labo parts are mainly made of cardboard.
From Labo, players can collect various items that Nintendo called toy-konami. It can be a fishing rod, a piano, a motorcycle steering wheel and other objects.
In combination with the Switch components, the toys turn into original controllers for the games included in the Labo kits.
Two Nintendo Labo kits are already available for pre—order – Variety Kit for $70 and Robot Kit for $80. From Variety, you can collect 5 toys for different mini-games, and the Robot Kit contains a cardboard satchel and a visor, with which the player can try on a virtual robo-suit and destroy buildings inside the game in it.
Sales of the product will begin on April 20 this year.
According to the French branch of IGN, Nintendo will also release kits for additional personalization of its toys.
According to game analyst Serkan Toto on Twitter, after the presentation of Labo, Nintendo shares on the Tokyo stock exchange rose by 2%.
In the 70s of the last century, Nintendo already produced prefabricated models made of thick paper under the Nintendo Paper Model brand.
