Nintendo has announced the sale of more than 2 million units of the Nintendo Switch console in the United States.
According to the analytical company NPD, in the 7 months since the release of the Nintendo Switch, it has become the best-selling console in America 5 times, and has held this title for the last three months.
As of the end of July this year, 4.7 million Nintendo Switches have been sold worldwide. In early September, Media Create announced the sale of 1.5 million consoles in Japan.
Initially, Nintendo expected to sell 10 million Switch by the end of the current fiscal year. The commercial success of the novelty prompted the company to increase its sales forecast to 20 million.
