The management of Nintendo is dissatisfied with the performance of its mobile games. This was announced by the president of Nintendo Tatsumi Kimishima (Tatsumi Kimishima).
“We have made some progress in expanding the audience of our mobile games. But we have not yet achieved the desired profit, so our goal is to further develop this business so that it becomes one of the main sources of revenue for the company,” said the head of Nintendo.
Kimishima did not specify exactly how much Nintendo wants to earn on mobile.
Apparently, the head of the Japanese company was mainly disappointed with the slow start of Nintendo’s latest mobile game, the social simulator Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
In the first two months, the title generated $20 million, while the company’s previous mobile release, the role—playing game Fire Emblem Heroes, earned more than $86 million over the same period.

Nevertheless, Kimishima promised to continue developing mobile Animal Crossing.
The plans for the development of the game include weekly events, new content and advertising of the title on television.
