In the US, a group of parents filed a class action lawsuit against Danish developers Kyloo and SYBO Games. They believe that the popular Subway Surfers game collects their children’s personal data for advertising networks without permission.
In addition to Subway Surfers, mobile games such as Frisbee Forever, Frisbee Forever 2, Spellbinders, Smash Champs, Tesla Tubes, Storm Blades and Blades of Brim were accused of collecting and using personal information of young Americans.
Another target of the lawsuit was advertisers using the information collected in this way. The document includes TapJoy, AdColony, Chartboost, Vungle, ironSource, InMobi and other advertising services.
The authors of the lawsuit hope that the court will help stop the tracking and sale of their children’s personal data.
