The Japanese company Mixi reported an increase in sales and profit for the 2nd quarter of this year. The main source of financial income remains the mobile puzzle Monster Strike, released in 2013.

Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 1.9% to $437.1 million. Profit also increased by 1% to $ 124.3 million.

At the same time, the Monster Strike franchise earned $407.4 million during this period, raising this figure by 2.2% compared to last year.

In addition, in the first quarter of the year, Mixi released the Fight League card battler. The game scored a million downloads within a week of release.

Despite its success in Asia, Monster Strike has not been recognized by players in the West. Therefore, on August 1, Mixi closed the American version of the game.
