There is a shortage of content on Google’s Stadia cloud platform. Although the platform has an “impressive cloud infrastructure”, it lacks games from leading publishers and developers.

Microsoft does not seem to believe in the ability of Stadia to attract a wide audience only through cloud software. Nichols’ statements are not surprising, because Microsoft is preparing the main competitor of Stadia called Project xCloud. The company announced its streaming service almost following Google in October last year.
