Another online event Inside Xbox took place today. On it, Microsoft “for the first time demonstrated the real gameplay of games” optimized for the Xbox Series X.

In the show, which lasted a little less than an hour, the company announced and showed only partner games. Projects developed in Microsoft’s internal studios will be presented in July.

In total, 11 projects were shown that had not been released anywhere before. Some of them became known only today, but there were previously announced games among them. For example, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

There were no Xbox exclusives among the projects shown.

Bright Memory Infinite

A first-person shooter developed on Unreal Engine 4 by the Chinese studio FYQD-Studio. This is a new version of the original Bright Memory, which was assembled by a single developer — Zeng “FYQD” Xiancheng (Zeng Xiancheng). The project was announced a year ago.

Dirt 5

Another part of the rally simulator from Codemasters. The last, fourth, part of the game was released in 2017. Dirt 5 is one of the central announcements of the current Inside Xbox.

Scorn

Shooter of the Serbian studio Ebb Software, inspired by Giger‘s works when working on the game (the trailer is impressive from a technical point of view, but the content itself is quite creepy, if not disgusting: only for fans of the image of an Alien as a monster). The project has been in development for six years and has been announced for a long time.

CHORUS

Arcade kosmosim, which is preparing for the release of Deep Silver Fishlabs. The studio, before it became part of Deep Silver in 2013, just became famous for such cosmosims, only then did it make them for mobile platforms. The project was not officially announced until May 7.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

The game was first announced in March last year. This is one of the riskiest publishing projects of Paradox Interactive. The Swedish publisher still specializes in strategies, not first-person role-playing games. At the moment, the game looks visually outdated. It remains to be hoped that the fate of the first part, which, although it received cult status, was unplayable at the time of release, will not be repeated by the novelty.

Call of the Sea

A colorful “walking simulator” with classic adventure puzzles. The publisher is Raw Fury, who knows a lot about adventure games (we strongly advise you to pay attention to the beautiful Kathy Rain). Previously, Call of the Sea was not known.

The Ascent

Isometric action by the Swedish studio Neon Giant in the cyberpunk setting (before the release of the new CD Projekt RED game, it is becoming more and more popular). This is a debut project for the company. The publisher is Curve Digital, which recently launched Peaky Blinders: Mastermind.

The Medium

The Polish Bloober Team is trying to get into the AAA League. A studio specializing in horror, behind which Layers of Fear and Observer are very warmly received by the audience, is preparing a big game that conceptually copies Silent Hill. The Medium is a third—person game, the heroine of which is a medium who lives in two worlds at once — in the real world and the spirit world. The music for the novelty is prepared by Akira Yamaoka, the composer of the Silent Hill series.

SCARLET NEXUS

Action from one of Bandai Namco‘s in-house studios. The authors of Tales of Vesperia lead the development. The game is made in anime style, and also visually resembles the recent Switch-exclusive Astral Chain. Scarlet Nexus is one of the projects announced on Xbox Inside.

Second Extinction

Cooperative “meat” shooter for three players about battles with dinosaurs. Systematic Reaction, one of the three divisions of Avalanche Studios Group, is responsible for the development. In 2018, it was marked by the unsuccessful survival Generation Zero.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

The game was announced a few days ago by Ubisoft itself. At the Microsoft presentation, frames on the game engine were shown. The company calls them gameplay, but in fact the gameplay itself was not shown.

***

Despite the large number of projects presented, many of which, however, are not exclusives, the audience met the current Xbox Inside very coldly. At the time of writing, there were 28 thousand dislikes under the broadcast video.

The main “haight” was caused by the video Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Players write that they were waiting for footage with real gameplay, and instead they were shown a cut from the cutscenes. Also, part of the audience is dissatisfied with the lack of announcements of internal Microsoft projects.
