The LINE company, which owns the messenger of the same name, together with the Korean mobile game developer LongTu Korea will launch the Lantu Games game studio. The information appeared in LINE’s press release.
The studio is planned to open in Hong Kong. Both companies will invest equally in its creation: each will invest $ 10 million.
Lantu Games will produce “high-quality projects for players around the world.” It is assumed that the studio will receive a user base from LINE, and experienced personnel from LongTu Korea.
Recall that the creators of the Japanese messenger recently published the results of the 2nd fiscal quarter of 2015. LINE’s quarterly revenue was $224 million, and MAU worldwide – 211 million people.
