Chinese publisher and developer LongTu Games will release the Godus project of studio 22cans in China.
This is reported by the resource Pocketgamer.biz .
The Chinese company chose the game because of its “unsurpassed quality,” according to LongTu CEO Shenghui Yang.
Recall that in addition to the studio 22cans LongTu Game cooperates with Kabam. Companies are preparing for the release of the Chinese version of Marvel: Contest of Champions. At home, LongTu Game is the publisher of the Dota Legend game, which recently found itself at the center of a cloning scandal.
The Godus project was released in the spring of 2014. It was released by studio 22cans under the direction of Peter Molyneux. This is a modern reinterpretation of the game Populous, which was released in 1989 and which gave rise to the popularity of Molineux. The Godus player helps the people defeat enemy tribes by changing the landscape.
The project was funded using the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. The beta version of the game appeared on Steam Early Access on time. But the Molineux team did not release the final version for the PC. Numerous critical reviews forced Molineux to first justify himself, and then refuse to communicate with the press.
Godus currently exists as a mobile shareware game.
