The Russian mobile games market is growing faster than the global one. In 2018, it grew by 25%.

About this in an interview with App2Top.ru told Alexey Vstavsky, a representative of App Annie. According to him, the global average dynamics of the mobile games market is about 15%.

In total, Russians spent $517 million on mobile games in the App Store and Google Play in 2018. This is almost $50 million more than the same stores earned in Russia in 2017 from all applications.

“Russia is ranked 12th in the world in terms of earnings from mobile games by the end of 2018 and is responsible for less than 1% of the global market (including iOS, Google Play and third-party Android services),” Alexey also said.

Note that we are talking about consumer spending, and not about the amounts received by developers from the stores.
