On February 1, after two years of work in the Moscow office of Game Insight, Ilya Eremeev took the position of executive producer in the investment division Mail.Ru Group.
Ilya Eremeev is one of the brightest public representatives of the Russian gaming industry. He started as a 3D artist, worked at Avalon and Sperasoft, and for a long time worked on hidden objects at St. Petersburg Artogon. He gained public fame when he was the creative director of the A-Steroids studio, where he participated in the development of the Clash of the Damned mobile battler. He is the author of many publications in which he analyzes the problems of mobile free-play games.
Ilya took the position of creative director in the mobile forge of Game Insight in 2016. His time at the company coincided with a major reshuffle. Last year, Game Insight completely revised its product strategy. In part, I decided to focus my efforts on a small number of products. Ilya announced his departure from the company on January 31.
Eremeev’s new place of work – Mail.ru Games Ventures is a structure launched last April by Ilya Karpinsky that invests in gaming companies. The total amount of investments that the company planned to spend on the purchase of external teams is $100 million. The first public purchase took place in September, when €800 thousand was invested in the Russian-Finnish mobile studio Panzerdog, founded by Sergey Kozyakov and Alexey Sazonov, former commercial director of Herocraft.
