Company Mail.Ru The Group will invest €800 thousand in the Russian-Finnish mobile game developer studio Panzerdog and will receive a share in the company.
The size of the share is not disclosed.
The investment was carried out by the venture division of the company Mail.Ru Games Ventures, which opened on April 25 this year.
Director Mail.Ru Games Ventures Ilya Karpinsky noted that they chose Panzerdog from more than 500 applications.
Panzerdog financing was the first transaction of the new structure Mail.Ru . Earlier, the company announced that it intends to invest $ 100 million in game studios, and has already allocated $ 10 million to conclude contracts in the near future.
Investments in Panzerdog will go to the development and promotion of their first project — the mobile PvP shooter Tacticool.
The game promises fast 5-on-5 team battles lasting no more than 1 minute.
Earlier, Panzerdog received about $ 100 thousand from the private fund Ali Capital.
