Kazuo “Kaz” Hirai (Kazuo Hirai) is no longer the main person at Sony Corporation. Hirai handed over the position of CEO and president of the company to his deputy Kenichiro Yoshida.
The personnel changes will take effect on April 1.
According to Sony, Hirai made this decision himself. He has been running the company since 2012.

The ex-president of Sony has no plans to retire. Hirai retained the chair of the head of the board of directors of the corporation.
Sony should soon start implementing a new medium-term development plan. His incarnation will be handled by Kenichiro Yoshida.
