Mobile developer Glu Mobile has closed a branch in the California city of Long Beach and laid off some of the staff of the head office in San Francisco. As a result, 46 people lost their jobs.
The company warned about the upcoming layoffs in advance, threatening to dissolve the branch in Long Beach if their Car Town Racing game did not perform satisfactorily in the softlonch.
The latest layoffs are part of Glu Mobile’s management plan to cut 140 employees as part of a business restructuring.
It is expected that due to the restructuring of the company will incur costs in the amount of $ 1.5-$1.76 million.
