Newzoo has researched three English–speaking markets – the USA, the UK and Australia. The data of users from 18 to 70 years old who played in social casinos in the last 6 months were analyzed.
Slots are the most popular type of social casinos
Aggregated data on all three markets show that slots overtake all other genres of social casino in popularity. They are played by 53% of social casino players.
If the data is broken down by country, the situation changes. In the UK, the bingo genre is in great demand, whose audience within the social casino segment is 26%. This is 10% more than the audience of the genre in the USA and Australia.

Despite the popularity of slots among all social casino players, the paying audience prefers poker.
Among those who spend money on social casinos, 55% play poker-style projects. A special attitude to the genre in Australia, where 26% of gamers marked it as their favorite.

The company also noted a correlation between social casino players and fans of gambling for real money. 58% of social casino players also play for real amounts. The percentage is even higher among paying players in social casinos: 81%. Among gamers who do not play social games, there are only 23% of them.
Big Fish Casino is the most popular franchise among social casinos
According to the number of users who have played in social casinos in the last 6 months, the most popular gambling game is Big Fish Casino (Big Fish).
The second and third places are shared by projects in the bingo genre – Bingo Bash (GSN Games) and BINGO Blitz (Playtika).

Newzoo also named three top projects in terms of conversion: FaFaFa Slots (International Games System Co.), Slots: Fast Fortune Slot Games (Super Lucky Casino) and Epic Jackpot (Super Lucky Casino).
By the conversion rate, analysts meant “the largest share of players who have played the project and spent money in it over the past 6 months.”
