The VKontakte app for iOS now supports Direct Games is an HTML5–based gaming platform where games can be run without downloading.
Release Direct Games took place in 2017, but at first only for the Android version of the VKontakte application. The platform supports all game functions: competitions with friends, purchase and use of in–game currency, sharing of results – but the games are loaded and fully work without installation, inside the application itself. Game developers can offer their game to the social network by submitting an application for moderation.
Also, a redesign has been made for the platform: now almost the entire catalog is given to direct games, and all downloads are removed in a separate tab.
VKontakte selects the best projects for Direct Games in terms of quality, graphics and integration with the social network, said the head of the platform Maxim Babichev.
We have removed games from the catalog that were not well adapted to mobile devices. We recommend developers to adapt their projects more carefully.

Recall that Facebook also has an HTML5 platform, in March the social network gave it open access to all developers.
