Google will open another data center in Finland. The Internet giant is investing $672 million in this project.

The new data center will become part of an infrastructure network for processing data coming from Google’s Internet services. It is also likely to ensure the stable operation of the Stadia gaming platform, which Google announced at GDC 2019. The company stated that it is through the global network of data centers that all the calculations necessary for the operation of the cloud platform will be performed.

The demand for Google services is growing every day. Therefore, we are setting up the infrastructure of our data centers to meet the demand (for quick access to content).

Google will place a data center in the Finnish city of Hamina, where a similar complex is already located. It is unknown when the construction will be completed.

As reported by Gamesindustry.biz, Google has already placed its data centers in other European countries, for example, in the Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland.
