Google and Nvidia have announced that their cloud gaming services will appear on iOS in the form of web applications. At the same time, GeForce Now already works on Apple devices, and the company itself plans to release a special version of Fortnite adapted for control on smartphones.GeForce Now and Stadia decided to follow the path of Amazon’s Luna service, which appeared on iOS in the form of PWA, a progressive web application.
Now this is the only way for companies to get on Apple’s mobile devices, since cloud gaming services are still banned in the App Store.
The Nvidia service is already running on iOS. To do this, just go to the GeForce Now website from a mobile device and add a web application to your home screen. After that, the service can be used and played via the cloud on an iPhone or iPad.

In the future, this will allow iOS users to play through the cloud in the mobile version of battle royale, which has been removed from the App Store.

Over time, all major cloud gaming services will be able to appear on iOS, bypassing the App Store. In 2021, Microsoft will release the xCloud web application. At the same time, it is unknown whether Apple will be able to regulate PWA in theory and somehow limit their work.
